I never thought I'd say this but... please bring back Britney Spears!
At least when Spears was the queen of gossip rags, she never forced her phony, do-gooder, globetrotting, baby-adopting, bleeding heart, I only care about saving the world b.s. on the rest of us like Jolie... all while massively overhauling her original, god-given face with plastic surgery overkill.
(For the Jolie fans who can't fathom this, do a search on "Angelina Jolie nose job" to find out where her money goes when she's not donating to charity.)
Many women could be the "sexist woman alive" if they could pay for the work she's had.
Can we please stop rewarding know-nothing, self-absorbed narcissists like Pitt and Jolie by not buying any more tabloid magazines?
If she wants to "save the world," she should just do us all a favor and get out of show biz and move to Africa. That would save us from her ad nauseum protestations of being a "decent person" and a real "humanitarian" all while gagging us with a pitchfork with her "look at me" antics and store bought beauty.
Jennifer Aniston may not be a sex bomb, but she's got a real depth to her personality and character that shines through without her even having to say a word about all this media nonsense. While Jolie goes around tooting her horn by pretending to be good, all she is to me is a attention-starved woman desperate to con any male of the species with her overblown sexuality and annoying politics.

Dynamic duo - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
I think that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie make an awesome couple in this movie. The story is very clever and both actors make the movie even better - there is definate on-screen chemistry. I usually do not like big action movies but this movie makes the action fun...I was surprised at how many times I found myself laughing as something was being blown up or someone was shooting something. I definately would request seeing this movie if you want to see a fun film.

I thought this movie was fantastic. I beleive that this movie deserved more stars than the critics gave it. This movie was filled with action and comedy. There was never a dull moment in this movie. It was an awesome movie and was very enjoyable to watch.

Girl's rule - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
...that's all I have say about Angelina. Perfect femme to play that part (and Nicole Kidman new better). I thought I would be seeing a more glamorized version of War of the Roses (with Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas) but..uhm..it was much more. Brad Pitt was luscious as ever and the juicy apple I was looking forward to seeing the most but I must admit that my girl Gina..from her red stiletto boots to her Laura Croft Kiss ass combat confidence...she was the better of the two to me. The movie is 2 hours long and starts off necessarily just a teeny bit slow but it does nothing but gets better from there. Its hard to give a review without spilling the beans but I can say it is worth getting off your couch, slip in a cute tank and skirt and have your guy spend 10.00 for the evening. The movie is perfect eye candy for both of you. The only that I didnt like is that I wish they gave more uhmp! to Brad's character to even out the fierceness between the two but he was incrediblly charming. Oh and I wasnt too fond of the ending action scene..a bit cheesy but forgiveable according to the mood of this movie. The movie is fun. Its funny and fun to watch and definitely worth more than waiting for it to come out on DVD. It was what I hoped it to be.
I had a great fun. - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
With two hot stars, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, it should be a great one, I thought.
In fact, this film is extremely good in one sense, and extremely bad in another.
The story is actually disgusting, awful. The biggest flaw of the plot is at the end. Why killing all those "nobodies" in that big store would help finishing the whole thing? Where were their bosses? The bosses were the ones trying to kill them both. If not all of them died, the bosses should keep calling people to finish the Smiths off.
Anyway, having a couple who have married for 5 or 6 years, not known each other's secrets, and then suddenly all the fighting and telling truths, is really fun and fresh to be put on the wide screen.
On the other hand, I think the fighting action scenes are awesome. I don't mean they fought beautifully, in fact I'm not a person who likes action films very much. The awesome thing is the audience (well, at least me) could feel the Smiths' being desperate to finish each other off. And at the same time, we (again, at least me) could also see that they didn't actually want each other to die. I think the confusion there was really presented well. At least, I think it was.
Somebody regard movies as art, while some think it's good to serve with pop corns and cola. To be honest, I buy both theories. I had a great fun watching Mr and Mrs Smith.
By the way, the background music was not bad. Especially those original instrumental ones.

Great movie, lots of fun! - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
this movie was great: it had some really funny moments, a clever and original story, great actors who have fantastic screen chemistry, brilliant special effects and action scenes, and it didn't lag at all!
bottom line is: this movie is entertaining and fun - isn't that what movies are supposed to be? sure, i love a good drama or sci-fi, but once in a while, i like a smart, funny, sexy movie. right now, this is it.

Vince vaughn should be in all movies. - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
"Mr. and Mrs. Smith" in a nutshell: Good action sequences. Vince Vaughn being funny. Brad Pitt singing. Angelina Jolie with guns (plural). A minivan chase. And Adam Brody wearing a "Fight Club" T-shirt while being taken hostage by Brad Pitt (who is, in fact, the star of "Fight Club"). FINALLY, a movie that really does have everything.
Almost all time worst movie ever - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
This movie was one of those hollywood money making trickerys. It casts beautiful Angelina Jolie as the leading lady and even prettier Brad Pitt. To lure us movie goers and bam slap in the face. The biggest waste of $10. Was the second WORST movie of all time....
The smith's - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
They sent a BOY to do a man's job.... Why don't his co-star get her lips fixed (or has she? ) They always look chapped. Kinda reminds me of a fish we caught last summer!
I'm kinda glad Brad and Jen split. She can do much better and if wants to settle for used goods...so be it. At least she has lots and lots of experience!!!!!
A terrible movie.

Are you surprised? - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
Personally, I don't find anything special about the looks of either Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie. For those who do, did you actually expect these movies to be good. They can't act. What happened to the days when hollywood paid people who looked good AND could act? Tom Cruise is one of the last and he's getting older now. We need real leading men and women, not those who would be better off in porn movies.
An awesome movie all have to see!! - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
I thought this movie was going to be boring well first because of the title, kind of corny and second I'm not a fan of Jolie and third how is this movie going to be like. Also, thought I'll wait when it comes out in the DVD. Friend of mine got me a ticket for free and saw it. I'm telling you it was a great movie! I do highly recommended especially if you are into action and comedy/humor. I thought it was well done, movie just flows, a sense of direction. Personally, I enjoyed watching it and laughed from beginning to end. It was good to where I wouldn't mind watching it again, but this time my money is worth it.
Prizzi's honor - the early years? - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
Hollywood needs to make some original movies, instead of re-hashing old ideas with the big stars of the time. We need more independant film makers being able to show their movies to the masses.

Very well done... - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
I loved the movie. I have no idea what all these people who hated it are bitchin about. ::rolling eyes::
I thought that the tension between the 2 was very well done. It kinda reminded me of the movie Rush Hour because it had plenty of action but it was funny at the same time.

A great surprise! - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
The concept of the movie sounded dumb at first, but I found the movie very entertaining! I think Pitt and Jolie had great chemistry together and took a chance with this movie. It was different from all other movies that seems to be the same thing over and over. It was cute but at the same time thrilling. It had romance, comedy and action! What more could you ask for?
Over all, it was a fun movie!

Nothing to be dissapointed in here. - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
Good flick. It isn?t supposed to ever take itself seriously, and never trods that ground. There is always a lot of subtlety behind whatever Limon does and it exists here too, enough to pull you in if you can see it. Every action scene is somewhat cheeky, they are used here more for layering and underlying the relationship than for any sort of derisive trail or acme to the movie.
In one scene Pitt is attempting to reenter his locked house where his gun wielding wife is attempting to blow his head off. He cracks a pain of glass on the second floor, then interestingly, pauses to check for bullets coming his way, as they might, had he alerted her to his presence. Near the end a reference back to the beginning of the film but also to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid keeps you guessing as to the outcome of the last act.
Though the script is somewhat choppy toward the end and the editing room did them no favors with the final cut especially with the final scene, the whole story works well enough. Far far more interesting characters than War of the Roses, as someone here remarked, and personalities (actors) that hold your interest in a much more associative way.
The fairly well educated crowd in my area laughed along throughout and clapped at the end.

A charming tale of a crumbling marriage - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
?Mr. & Mrs. Smith? opens with John and Jane Smith (Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie) undergoing a round of marital therapy. The counselor asks the couple, ?How long have the two of you been married,? to which John replies ?five years? and Jane, ?six?. The two exchange looks that indicate only one of them can be correct (Jolie), while the other (Pitt) severely mistaken. John goes on to say, ?Five or six years.? At this point, only a few minutes have gone by in the movie and already highly effective chemistry has been established between the two principle leads. This chemistry goes on to last the entire two hour running length, never dissipating or showing signs of letting up. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are playing high-class suburban characters and are using their own personal experiences of high-class failed marriages to spark a realistic depiction of a crumbling high-class suburban marriage in a very comedic, very playful manner. It all works and it?s fun to watch these two beautiful people snap at each other, whether such is done verbally or physically with the assistance of high-tech gunplay. And, in short, the film works even when it probably shouldn?t because of this ability to play off each other so well.
Working with such great chemistry, the two are able to make this story a progressively entertaining affair. The suburban life, in which they return to after a day of assassinating targets appointed by their opposing agencies, is where the real fun is at. After all the excitement of killing people and performing daring escapes, each of them come home believing that the other is an authentic, domesticated spouse, when in reality (at least in this film?s reality) they are both staring at reflections of their own, self-generated facades.
When John comes home from work, he wonders if Jane has done something different in the preparation of the night?s meal, to which she replies, ?I added peas.? John nods with the sudden realization and says, ?Ahh, yeah, the greens.? While John was away at work, Jane had taken the time out of her busy schedule to buy curtains for the living room windows; curtains John dislikes and suggests she return. Jane stares at the curtains in contemplation and says, ?You?ll learn to like them.? It?s little instances like these ones that highlight the film more so than the action sequences. The dialogue is witty and between Pitt and Jolie, the exchange of this banter flows so effortlessly, you just have to sit back and watch it go, marveling at the sparks that are flying even when they?re not supposed to. A lot of what makes their arguments fun to watch is that, as an audience, we know that these two are from opposing spy agencies, while the characters are completely oblivious of the fact ? a credit to the film?s writer who structured the script in such a way that the mere setup becomes humorous.
Once the two characters discover each other?s true identity through a hit in which both of them arrive at the same time to kill, the film becomes a different type of engaging. The first 40 minutes of the film were engaging in a romantic-comedy sense, while the middle of the film becomes engaging because this romance is threatened by a sudden realization of who these two people really are. Even so, the situation is approached in a darkly humorous way and is nicely interwoven into the thriller aspects of the story ? the comedic undertone remains consistent throughout the picture. One of my favorite scenes in ?Mr. & Mrs. Smith? is when the two confront each other to discuss their dilemma while dancing at a high-class restaurant. Both feel betrayed, both answer questions with more questions, and both realize that they were a part of a ?five or six? year job. All of this confrontation is done amidst their dancing, which becomes increasingly more violent as their conversation grows more and more personal. Before you know it, the two engage in an all-out, if somewhat brief, war that has them trying to blow each other up, until their guns are aimed at each other at close range, and neither of them can pull the trigger. Their love for each other, turns out, hasn?t died and they demonstrate this with a sexual wrestling match that has them breaking all sorts of furniture.
It?s when the film reaches this point, that it turns into a stunt show that feels like an overblown inconsistency with how the film was originally paced. After kissing, punching, and making up, Pitt and Jolie are faced with their agencies trying, relentlessly, to kill them. For ?Mr. & Mrs. Smith?s? third act, the genre switches gears to a strictly action-picture. The marital banter does indeed still exist at this point of the game, but they are more like commas inserted to punctuate a run-on sentence of repetitive, tedious action. Before, the film had interpreted these government agencies as providing low-key, little attention, incognito assassinations, but when it comes to the agencies trying to assassinate their own, they blow up buildings and shoot at cars on freeways congested with innocent bystanders. What was once a fun and smart film, turns into a completely illogical action film, that may have been fun to watch in its first ten minutes of presentation, but quickly evolves into a boring affair as soon as another minute of the same sequence passes. Just how many ways can a person shoot a gun? Apparently there aren?t nearly enough ways to sustain audience interest, or at least mine.
The final act aside, ?Mr. & Mrs. Smith? is a thoroughly entertaining summer movie that would have benefited greatly from a more low-key, toned down action, rather than the overblown spectacle director Doug Liman opted for. Because the film demonstrates a mastery for the romantic-comedy genre, resorting to a Michael Bay third act (that doesn?t even resolve the dilemma, unless they managed to kill everyone belonging to both agencies mind you) is somewhat insulting. ?Mr. & Mrs. Smith? could have been so much more, but instead decides to be so much more of the same.

Mr smith goes to washington - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
This movie is good with great chemistry between Brad and Jen... I meant Angelina Jolie. The idea of two assassins living together for 5 years w/out finding out one another as assassins seemed illogical, especially since they're both topnotch professional assasssins w/ all the means to extract info about their mate. Aside from that, this movie was great with great action sequences and great subtle jokes. Angelina looks even hotter as an assassin. Brad was okay. I would like to see Angelina and Brad go up against The Bride from Kill Bill. NOw that would be one crazy movie.

Aint what i expected - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
Now I can't say that the movie is bad, but it really doesn't prove worthy. Frankly, Angelina doesn't give that much of a performance(ya i dont like her but really, not so good acting in this one) and brad left a better impression. I kinda felt that there is a missing link in the movie but I can't quite pinpoint it.
The movie was ok, I had fun watching it, but really you dont go out hearing many wows after the movie so I should've probably waited for madagascar or the longest yard.

Review the movie, not the stars - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
Alot of people are trashing this movie because of the Pitt/Aniston break-up & the Pitt/Jolie rumors. If you spend your money to go to movies so you can judge the personal lives of the actors, save yourself a few bucks-STAY HOME & READ THE ENQUIRER! If you go to movies to get away from reality & just have a good time, this movie was a joyride. Yeah, the story line & action scenes were unrealistic but no more so than Star Wars, James Bond, or a hundred other movies. This isn't a movie that was meant to make you more socially aware, it was meant to be fun.
Hu?? - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
I was baffled to see that at the same time Angelina G. and Brad P. confess their love (making) I see that the news about their new film wasn't too far behind. After seeing the film I now know why such a lame publicity stunt was used. First off, the movie sucks, and second the only appeal to the film is that while you watch it you can imagine Angelina receiving Brads? "man brick" with the utmost satisfaction. I would say that if the film were more pornographic and less hollywoodrific I would have enjoyed myself a lot more than I did.
P.S. I gave the visuals and A+ due to Angelinas' perfectly executed mammary bounce techniqe.
I.Q. Rating: I give this film a ?85 (Special)

"i missed you". "i missed you too"! - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
The above was the best line in the movie. I had a great time watching this movie. Its check the brains at the door and have fun. Great intrigue between the two stars and nice fights, both verbal and physical. It was made to be fun and IT WAS.
Lacking luster - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
If you are expecting "snap, crackle, pop" chemistry between Pitt and Jolie, you will be disappointed. True, they were suppose to be bored after 5-6 years of marraige but even when they were "hot", they failed to bring it to the screen. It was a predictable story line that offered very little.
Pure junk - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
If you haven't figured it out yet Pitt can't act to save his own life. Hollywood wake up quit paying him to be in the movies. If he really left Jennifer for that thing he's with not only can he not act he's just flat out stupid. Beside all of that the movie is really dumb the pretense for the movie is dumb and who ever wrote the script needs a new job also. Come on Brad Pitt with a gernade launcher come on he couldn't care fork. Go waste your money on the Honeymooners at least they only expect laughs there.

Mr. and mrs. suck!!!!!!! - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
This movie is about two morons with guns lookin' hot and sucking. After ten minutes you hope they shoot each other quickly so you can leave. This movie stinks as bad as a dirty diaper filled with indian food covered in burnt hair. The only redeeming quality of the movie is that it is at least filled with cool clothes and pretty shoes.

Bonnie and clyde meets war of the roses!!!!! - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
This was a fun film. I believe that what Roger Ebert said about the chemistry between Pitt and Jolie makes this movie. It definitely does. This movie also breaks through some barriers in regards to male and female stereotypes. There were some parts that were more than hard to swallow, and I found myself saying "ok, come on this is not probable, lets move forward" and it usually did in a timely manner. The jokes were hard to miss and, for anyone that has spent some time in a relationship, will at some point relate to most of them. For instance, what I liked about the movie was the place that each of them chose to conceal their armory. It bled stereotypical in a funny way. I liked the movie. It is not a movie that leaves you pondering, if anything it is an escape from reality for at least an hour. I would see this in the theaters if you have the chance.
Great stuff!!! - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reviews
I love spy movies with cool guys (like Mr. Pitt) and HOT girls (like Ms. Jolie). Grade A stuff. I couldn't ask for a more entertaining film than this. To all those who would critisize it, well you can go to you know where...
